Flash Friday 55 (Rain)

A bang and a flash of light
a surge of heat felt throughout
the night.

Then is starts
droplets big at first
warm, slow steady.

Faster it comes down
in a steady stream
the wind picks up
the crackling of the
skies grow more fierce

Oh how I love a good
rain storm.

  6. I remember a summmer thunderstorm that rolled in just before sundown. I was sitting on the porch of a cabin in the woods. The wind blew mightily and the rain poured down. Thunder clapped deafeningly as the intermittent flashes of lightning strobe-lit the surrounding forest in nightmarish on/off flickering of sudden blinding white followed by instant blackness. I was a bit scary at times, but thrilling.

  10. To be honest with you, I love storms! I love rainstorms, as long as they don't tamper with the TV reception or as long as I don't get too wet. Wanna see my 55er? It's at http://thelunaticsdiary.blogspot.com
